RE: Gluten / Wheat Ingredients

Due to the ever-increasing demands for food safety compliance, we have decided to no longer continue claiming ‘Gluten Free’ on our products.

In the coming months you will see a transition on our packaging to no longer claim ‘Gluten Free’.

Key points:

  • We will no longer be claiming ‘Gluten Free’ on our packaging
  • The new packaging will change over in the coming months
  • No ingredients have changed
  • Nothing has change in our recipe or production processes

Background:

We have historically undertaken lab testing confirming our products as gluten free using a nil detected approach to testing.

One of the main ingredients in our products is Glucose Syrup. The glucose syrup we use has less than 20mg/kg detectable gluten and when diluted and boiled into our recipes has never returned a detectable gluten level in our lab tests. Hence the claim of Gluten Free had been previously adopted.

Due to the ever-increasing requirements of food safety compliance, we have decided to no longer make this claim.
